Field Engineer

In this role, your main responsibilities willbe:

• Assure the start-up of all testmachines, both during the test phase in the workshop in Bruges andat customer sites.
• Your tasks are varied, butthe emphasis is mainly on the automation part (PLC andPC).
• You take care of the installation andconfiguration of the PLC and computer hardware, as well as testingand debugging the attached programmes.
• You willperform various entry checks, quality tests and repeatability testsof the machines.
• You complete the compliantchecklists and prepare corresponding reports. You take care of thenecessary documentation during the machinebuy-offs. 
• You make improvementpropositions.
• You are responsible for trainingboth the operators and the maintenance staff of our customerson-site.
• You provide first-line support tocustomers and prepare reports after interventions, trainings andassistance. You are also responsible for preparing interventionkits in collaboration with the customer servicedepartment.
• Lastly, you perform impartial andconfidential measurements in customer labs under the lab’sauthority and in accordance with ISO 17025 and ISO9001.

• Bachelor’s degree in electromechanics orequivalent through experience
• Knowledge ofmultiple automation and IT systems
• Experiencein a service job is a plus
• Strong mechanicalunderstanding and broad technicalknowledge

• Knowledgeof Dutch is desirable, but no absoluterequirement
• Fluent in English, beingmultilingual (French or German) isdesirable
• Available for relocations in thecountry and abroad for maximum two weeks, with a target of 50% ofthe annual work time
